I really want my blog – this blog, that is – to reflect who I really am, but I also want it to be enjoyable and informative in the eyes of you viewers and visitors. In order to make sure that my blog is enjoyable, I recently visited a friend – an experienced blogger with several very enjoyable blogs – and discovered a lot of interesting top tips when it comes to blogging.
Blogging is all about balance. You may be tempted to fill the entire blog with casual news and stories from your everyday life, but you also need to consider you viewers and pick several subjects you really love before writing about them. I love gadgets and technology, and I particularly passionate about the internet in general. Hopefully, you will see more valuable articles on those subjects posted on my blog.
Planning is also an essential part if you want to be consistent and gradually develop a personal blog. Without planning, it is very easy to feel bored and end up neglecting your blog altogether. Don’t stop writing spontaneous posts every now and then, but make sure you also plan the major articles you want to write accordingly.
A blog is also a social platform, especially now that there are so many bloggers building an interesting network of sites online. Don’t hesitate to visit other blogs and exchange thoughts so that you can benefit from each other. It is also essential to reply comments posted on your blog; this is something I will definitely do more often from now on.
Last but not least, blogging is not everything. Even with the perfect blog set up, it is still necessary to promote it and interact through other online tools such as social networking sites. Twitter and Facebook account are definitely the primary keys.
